黃鶴樓主樓為四邊套八邊形體、鋼筋混凝土框架仿木結(jié)構(gòu)，從第一層開始，整體建筑以向上收縮為主，增強了建筑牢固穩(wěn)定性；樓通高51.4米，底層邊寬30米，頂層邊寬18米，飛檐五層，攢尖樓頂，頂覆金色琉璃瓦，由72根圓柱支撐，樓上有60個翹角向外伸展；樓外有鑄銅黃鶴造型、勝像寶塔、牌坊、軒廊、亭閣等建筑環(huán)繞，具有獨特的民族風(fēng)格。
